Hexagon Background

Welcome back bloggers!  This next post is dedicated to the new Hexagon Background die.  Shown here created with decorative papers, it is just so sweet I think!  Yes, I paper pieced it, but it was really easy and very fun to do too!  I love that it is very gender neutral so you can use it in so many ways!  And if you like making square cards (as I do!), this is a great set for you as it is very versatile.  I also wanted to mention that I have added the Pinterest button at the bottom of every post so feel free to pin any cards or dies that you may want to keep for later inspiration.  The last post of the day will be online at 6pm today.  Looking forward to seeing you back here then!  All for now, Sue x

Oh dear Lord did you paper piece all those tiny hexagons. If you did hats off to you, you must have the patience of a Saint. If you didn’t then please let this card have it’s day on the blog so you can share your secret x

  4. Hi Sue

What a great die. So useful for so many different backgrounds and gender neutral too. Well done for paper piercing it all. I think I’d enjoy doing that too. Great card, love the decorative papers you’ve used and I have those finishing touches dies for the flowers and leaves….which reminds me I haven’t used them for ages so I will have to remedy that.

Cant wait to see more samples using this background die. I’m sure you have done lots already. I appreciate the fineness of the lines of the hexagons too, it makes it look really classy.

  24. What a beautiful background die. Would be interesting to know how long the paper piecing took, but I find it very calming & therapeutic so I presume you do too. I thought honeycomb as soon as I saw it so would be lovely with a bee stamp or die. Thank you
