Congratulations
Good Sunday morning all! How about a pretty wreath card for today's offering! I started with a piece of white card and embossed it with the Stripes Embossing folder. I decided to use the stripes horizontally instead of the usual vertical direction. Using the dies from the Floral Bouquet set, I cut a bunch of flowers of varying sizes. I used pastel coloured card (custard, powder pink and soft salmon card) I added mounting foam to the backs of all the flowers then arranged them into a pleasing wreath shape. I added a strip of white vellum across the inside of the wreath then added the Congratulations sentiment cut in black card. I added a bee and a butterfly as accents. I added a surround of Iced Snow on the base card to add some bling. The card was completed with white and black mat and layers. Thee finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card thank you.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
What a beautiful Sunday, not weather wise cuz it's still dark but blog wise, spring has sprung in the most beautiful way. I DO LOVE pastel shades I find them so restful, and I was so taken by an embossing folder last week I looked at another long standing designer's online shop that stocks your dies and folders and I found every folder there that I've loved for a while and the Stripes folder was amongst them as was the daisy one you used earlier on in the week, so I shall be ordering those with the money I made from the festive orders, I'm not going to sit on my hands any longer why should we, we deserve it lol.
ReplyDeleteToday's inspiration is a true inspiration and one that we would know our mentor and Fairycraft mother had put together, a Sue Wilson special.

Hi Sue. I have to agree with you that this is a very pretty card. I love all those flowers and the way you have added dimension by raising some of them up on foam.

Hi Sue! Loving this card - it’s screaming Springtime at me, which in the fog, rain and cold of the worst month of the year, is an extremely welcome sight! Almost an Easter wreath! Beautiful! Take care, Colleen x
