Merry Christmas
Hello there my crafty friends! I have a pretty little elegant card to share today. I selected a piece of gold and white striped paper from my craft stash (can't recall the manufacturer it is so old). I cut the Merry Big Bold Word out of Gold Mirror card and glued it to the white shadow backing piece. I cut the die again out of black card and used the fall away pieces from it and paper pieced them back into place in the gold die. I added the die cut to thee centre of the card with mounting foam. I stamped the word Christmas with a clear perfect medium pad and embssed it with golde deetail embossing powder. I cut it out with the matching tag and added it below the Merry word. I made two poinsettias using white vellum and the Classic Poinsettia die set. I added them to the left side of the word and added some accents cut in white from the Pine and Holly Spray die set. The card was completed with white, black and gold mirror card mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteWow a brilliant card thank you, a real show stopper.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
Hi Sue yes my first thought was very classie and elegant, a lot of people aren't so keen on black cardstock for Christmas cards but there are designs that nothing else will do, although the French Navy with the gentle sheen would also be a perfect shade for this gorgeous design, also if you leave the beautiful floral element for another project, how perfect would this be for teens, older teens and any gender, it's gorgeous Sue, gorgeous and elegant.
ReplyDeleteSending love to all that visit today and remain well, friends are precious even if we've never met.
Christmas orders complete and all 10 large packages off to the post office later than I'd hoped for but D.O.N.E thank goodness!
