There's No Place Like Home

Good Sunday morning all!  Today's card is an easel card I made using the Cottage Shaped card die set.  I cut the Cottage out of Arctic Blue card and used the Stone Wall stencil to add some detail to it.  I sponged Weathered Wood distress ink through the stencil.  Next I cut the Cottage again out of Slate Grey card.  I hand cut the roof, door, window outlines and the bottom steps and glued them on to the blue die cut.  From the House Front Accessories, I added a small planter with pink flowers and a cat to the front of the cottage.  I cut the outline twice out of white card that was folded.  I folded one of them so the top card was folded in half.  I glued the cottage to the front fold, then glued it to the full size folded card.  I used the There's No Place Like Home Duo sentiment on the inside of the card with the dog from the House Front Accessories set.  The finished dimensions are 4 3/4"  x  5 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  8. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, WOW and wow again, what a fabulous creation, I bought the house in this collection with the accessories and now wished I had purchased the cottage as well, this sample is amazing, and what a great easel card, not necessarily for a new home it could be for anything, even decorate some snow and have Santa's sleigh on the roof top, oh sorry that just popped into my head. I am now off to view the websites to get the cottage. Thank you for sharing.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  15. Good morning Sue,
A beautiful house card today, this was always the style of house I drew as a child & wanted to live in when I was older. This would make a fabulous Christmas card with a wreath on the door, tree in the garden & a snowman. Yvonne xx
