It's A Great Day To Celebrate

Hi bloggers!  I started by embossing a piece of white card with the Rope Chain embossing folder.  I cut a wide frame using the Clipped Corner Rectangles and added the die cut while still in the die to the inside of the embossing folder.  You have to leave the embossing folder open and cover it with a tan mat and a few pieces of card as a shim, but it will emboss the part of the frame that has no die covering it and it leaves a pretty white edge where the die actually was.      While the die was still in place, I inked it with Shaded Lilac Distress ink.  I added mounting foam to the back then attached it to the embossed card as a backing to the frame.  I cut the Celebrate out of card inked with Shaded Lilac, then added an offset black die cut as a shadow.  I stamped the rest of the sentiment and cut it out with the tag die from the set.  Using the Dotty Balloon set, I cut five balloons out of shades of blue and lilac and added them to the top of the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

    Hello again Sue and all.
What a lovely card. I am not a balloon lover but I am sure there is no chance of one of these bursting.
I love the design and wonder once more where you find your inspiration.
Thank you for being there every day Sue.
    Take care.

  9. Hi Sue and everyone, a gorgeous card for our inspiration today. I do love these balloons 🎈 they certainly make fab cards. The colours are lovely too.
I make cards with my granddaughter too June, last time I showed her heat embossing and she was amazed at it. Now she wants it on every card she makes ( well to watch me do it, she's only 9 lol. )
    Hugs to all

  10. Hello Sue
Your balloon dies are a must have they can be used in so many ways, especially to hide any mistakes a crafter like me makes. I enjoyed Jamie's shows yesterday though I did miss one because of a timing mistake so I will watch it on catch up later.Take care everyone x

  13. Good Morning Sue. Brilliant card Sue. You used this CELEBRATE die on a card about two weeks ago. I saw it and wanted it. And boy was I surprised when it came. I didn't realise it came with a set of stamps to go with it ... , what a bargain ... I must have missed it when it first came out as I don't remember seeing it before. But I am so glad you posted that card two weeks ago. Great inspiration ... and again ... Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
    PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.

Another lovely post today and the sentiment does most of the work. Again another one the the colour is easily changeable to suit the recipient and would look fab no matter what.
