Christmas Wishes

Hi bloggers!  I started today's card by creating the Caught in Crystal background.  Using a piece of clear acetate, I squeezed Cosmic Lacquer all over  it, then I sprinkled Aqua Lagoon and Purple Violet Pixie Powders.  I spritzed it lightly to activate the powders, then used my finger to move them all over the background.  I used a piece of scrunched up white tissue over the top and set it aside to dry overnight.  Once dry, I trimmed the background to size then added a piece of white card to the back of it.  I cut three frames using the Double Stitched Ovals.  I secured them to the same point on the left side of the card.  I cut the Christmas Angel out of white card and added a backing that was covered with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I glittered the angel then added her to the side of the oval frames.  I used the Christmas Wishes sentiment and glued it inside the smallest oval frame.  I made two floral accents using the Classic Poinsettia die set and added them to the top right corner with Evergreen Branches as accents.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  3. Hi Sue I congratulate you on a beautiful launch, the new baubles are so versatile and pretty so they are on my list but right up there on the very very top of my want and need list are the dogs 🐕 oh my word Sue, I've always said I'd end up an eccentric old lady with a house full of dogs - a little bit like Goldie Hawn at the start of Death Becomes Her, but instead of moggies I'll have all my dogs lol. I'd not seen or had any notifications of your new dies until halfway through your showcase of samples so I just didn't peek so I was hoping for at least one cute collection and I'm so excited I have a full collection of cuteness to either treat myself or have as a gift. I'm following my excitement and thanks with a sorry, I really am not a fan of angels Sue I never have been but your background is pretty but your vellum flower placement is just gorgeous as always, so my love goes to all our friends that pop in, and I hope you're all well and safe xxx

  15. So pixie powders can be used for the caught in crystal technique, interesting! They have so many uses, the limitations are only my imagination and lack of experimentation….I think you’re a secret scientist when it comes to all these different mediums lol.
