Celebrate

Hi bloggers!  I was having a play with the new Pearlescent Watercolours fr today's card.  I used the Turquoise Cascade and Lilac Sapphire water colour inks and randomly spread them across a piece of white card.  Once dry, I used the Double Stitched Rectangles to cut a wide frame out of the card.  I cut the Celebrate die out of the centre of the card.  I added mounting foam to the back of the frame to raise it, then added it to a piece of white card.  I added the inner and outer piece of water coloured card back into place around the frame.  I added a black shadow to the Celebrate, then added mounting foam to the back and seated back into the place it was cut out from.   I stamped the rest of the sentiment and added it with mounting foam.  Using the Petal Pocket Flowers, I made two flowers out of white card, glittered them and added centres that were cut from an extra bit of the watercoloured card.  I seated the flowers in the corner and added Lace Edged Leaves as accents around them.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.    The finished dimensions are       6 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a beautiful creation today and love the watercolour pearlescent, I have about 6 or 8 of them already and they really are brilliant, would highly recommend them. The frame goes perfectly with 'Celebrate' - let's hope we can all celebrate soon if and when this pandemic is under control.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  11. Hi Sue
    Happy Wednesday everyone x
I would think that there is probably quite a lot of sparkle from the pearlescent watercolours that doesn’t show up in these pictures. I love this background and you would never be able to get exactly the same so this is definitely a one of a kind! Beautiful colours x

  27. Hi Sue, a very striking card and one that I think I would have to see IRL to get the effect from the Pearlescent Watercolours, it may then appeal to me more.

  30. Hi Sue

I do like this card. Love the colours and what you have used, but I would like it better if the frame contained the colour and it had a white edge, sorry I like things a bit neater, but then we are all different.

Love the psychedelic cow analogy Steph.
