Surprise

Hi crafters!  I started with a piece of white card and used the Happy Birthday stamp that comes in the Surprise Big Bold Word Die/Stamp combo set and randomly stamped it all over the card.  I inked the stamp with a clear Pefect Medium and used Clear Embossing Powder over it, then heated it.  Next I sprinkled Beyond Blue Pixie Sparkles all over the background and spritzed it with water.  I moved the colour around with a brush, completely covering the background.  Once dry, I used a piece of kitchen roll and wiped the colour off of the stamped words (the embossing powder makes it resist the colour).  Next, I cut the Surprise die out of black card and glued it to the white backing card.  I added dries clear glue to the letters one at a time, then sprinkled on Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz and tapped off the excess.  I allowed it to dry, then added it with mounting foam to the background.  I stamped the Happy Birthday with black ink and cut it out with a tag die.  I mounted it in the lower corner.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are  6 3/4"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  3. Hi Sue. Firstly I think the background is great, I think had I tried I would have found a few incomplete happy birthday sentiments lol mind you those stamping platforms help so much if you're not the best stamper, I was surprised just how brilliant they are, anyway today's inspiration is beautiful, and maybe even worth trying to do a few but with a different colour background for the 'happy birthday' to sit on. Absolutely gorgeous for any gender too. Hope everyone is keeping well and still staying safe xxx

  4. Hello Sue
This is a brilliant idea for a background but like Steph I am sure to mess up some of them. I enjoyed watching Jamie showcase your dies last night though I would have loved seeing you too. Take care everyone x

  16. Good Morning Sue This is brilliant and you have just given me an idea I never thought of until I saw this card. I was lucky enough to win the Big Bold GREETINGS die on an earlier launch. Now if I stamped Happy Birthday as you have done on the background ... surely my greetings die would substitute your surprise. This I have to try. Thankyou Sue. Can't wait to have a go . Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

    PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏

    Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

Love the big dies and this background is perfect. I use my big Birthday so often and will have to try this background too.
I tried unsuccessfully to watch your Create and Craft, says I have lost connection, maybe because I am in Australia but will keep trying
