Happy Birthday

Hello crafters!   I pulled out the Pearlescent watercolour inks for today's card.  I started with a piece of white card and added Lime Sherbet and Cerulean Blue randomly all over the card.  I spritzed it with a little water to get the colours flowing.  I set it aside to dry thoroughly (overnight).  Next I used the Rope Chain embossing folder and gave the piece some texture.  For the focal element, I cut the Happy Big Bold Word die out of black card.  I glued it to a piece of white card cut with the Double Stitched Rectangles and added a black mat.  Using the leftover piece from my background, I cut the Happy die and used the pieces to paper piece back into the black die cut.  I stamped the word Birthday in black and cut it out with the tags in the set.  I added it with mounting foam to the lower right corner of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  8 3/4"  in size.

We still have unclaimed dies from the blog launch.  Please scroll down to see the post of the winners list.  If you know anyone on it, please let them know they have won and they need to contact me!  All for now,  Sue x

    Good Morning Sue and all.
A beautiful card with vibrant colours. One that could be used in batch-making using different colours. Not that I've ever done batch-making but I could always try.

    Have a good weekend everyone

  12. Hello Sue
I think you know by now I love my bold happy die there are so many ways to use it. I stamped a sports car in the middle of a white happy and used cogs as a background for my brother and made a cream and brown card with tiny flowers all around happy for a friend. Now I am going to try out some Christmas cards.Take care everyone x

The big bold dies do make a fab and easy statement piece for a card and the more I see your samples the more I feel the need to invest in these timeless word dies. A stunning card Sue. Ohh and I received my sentiment that I won from the Christmas launch today, so thank you again Sue.
