Rhino

Hello bloggers!  I started today's card by coating a piece of white card with Aqua Lagoon and Golden Mint Pixie Powders and spritzing it with water.   Once dry, I embossed it with the Moroccan Tiles embossing folder for texture.  I inked the edges with Black Soot Distress ink to frame it.  Next I stamped the Rhino stamp and cut it out with the matching Rhino die.  I used Distress Markers  (weathered wood, antique linen and evergreen bough) to colour it.  I cut the Rhino die again in black and used it as an offset shadow then added a white vellum backing to it.  I added it to the centre of the background using mounting foam.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now,  Sue x

  3. Morning Sue. The quilted background is beautiful. The frame looks ornate but it's the first time I've felt our rhino looks a little sad, is this utterly ridiculous?! Could it be the realistic colouring and shading that gives all your safari animals their various expressions? You seem to make them look sassy or cheeky or naughty lol but I definitely see a smidgen of sadness in this guys face, maybe he knows there are fewer of these stunning animals with each day, but I love your design Sue as much as the floral samples you give us. Stay safe be happy xxx

Your Safari Collection is one of my most favourite of your collections. I have just finished making two Giraffe cards for mine and Steve's Dads for Fathers Day. I am collecting them all, one by one. I think the Giraffe is definitely my favourite one though. I just love his little face !!!
Lots of love to you Sue from Tres x x x
