Let The Adventure Begin
Hi crafters! I used the Tribal Fabric stencil to create the background on this card. I used Distress Oxide inks all over the background to get the sunset sort of look about it. I used Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Festive Berries and blended them all together. Next, I taped the Tribal Fabric stencil on top of the inked background. I used Black Soot Distress ink through the mask. I stamped my sentiment from the Wild About You clear stamp set and then laid my Double Stitched Square dies to make a frame with the sentiment in the upper corner of the frame. I added mounting foam to the back then added it over the stenciled background. I stamped the Lion stamp and cut it out with the matching Lion die. I coloured the lions head with Distress markers, then nipped away the circular frame around it, leaving just the side view of the lion's head. I added it with foam to the lower corner of the frame. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now. Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another gorgeous safari sample today with the animals as a backdrop in a beautiful sunset array of colours and to crown it off the King of the Jungle is keeping an eye on them.

Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteWow he is a real king of the jungle,
a real handsome chap thank you.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
Hi Sue. I agree with Jan, it's very unusual but I think we're getting use to the curve balls you share with us and the safari collection was one of those. It's a multi-gender card, its lovely to give someone starting a placement or job working with animals, I know one of our friends here will have a strong connection to this sample, and other friends that lived, loved and visited these magnificent animals, young, mature, extra mature will love this and your lion - well I'd say pensive the background is just absolutely beautiful Sue bringing back memories of the Seringeti for a few or at least safari trips in the past.
ReplyDeleteWhatever the day has in store hope its enjoyable xxx
