Because You Are Amazing

Good Sunday morning all!  I selected several shades of pastel card for today's card offering.  I used Custard, Sky blue, Wisteria and powder pink card.  I lined up all the dies from the Double Stitched Squares and cut them with each piece of the pastel card so I had loads of square frames when they were all cut.  I taped them back into place, alternating the colours onto a piece of copy paper.  I used the Double Stitched Circles to cut an aperture in the centre.  I added mounting foam to the back of the outside pieece to raise it, then recessed the circle back into place in the middle of the card.  I cut the Because Shadowed sentiment in white and added it to a white backing piece, then glued it across the middle of the aperture (I added some mounting foam to the back to keep the word raised and even).  I stamped the rest of the sentiment and cut it out with the tag die in the set and mounted it in the corner.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Hi Sue I can't say much other than I love the delicate pastels you used in this beautiful happy summery sample, I can also imagine using the more masculine colours too also the smaller size squares in the set to suit the smaller size cards, yet again I said more than initially intended, that's because you help bring out the ideas with just one piece of Sue Wilson inspiration. Hope everyone has a lovely safe day. Love to all wherever you are xxx

  9. Hi Sue

A nice soft and gentle card. Very cleverly thought out and done and looks good. I like the pastel colours you have chosen and as others have said it would work with lots of other colour variations. I agree with Crewe Trish, I can definitely see a baby card and one of your animal dies peeking from it.

Looking forward to see you demonstrate on TV today if the WiFi works ok. Fingers and toes crossed!

    Love Helen xxx

  13. That is a lovely card and the possibilities are endless with all the different colour cards out there. I’m already thinking red, green and white for a Christmas theme.

I loved all the new dies but I need to use my existing ones before adding any more to my collection, hence only commenting once during the release!

  17. Good Morning Sue. What lovely colours you have here. Makes me think of baby cards ... as one of our bloggers has already mentioned. An easy card to make ... but what a statement it makes as well. And men's cards with a colour change. There are so many options here. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

    PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏.

  52. I like the repeating frames in the soft pastel colors and this card would be great in a variety of colored frames. One thing I’ve always admired about many of your cards is the use of frames. This card has taken the use of frames to a different level and it’s inspto and reminds me how effective frames can be.
