Because

Hi crafters!   I thought I would share another of the Big Bold Word samples today.  I started by cutting the Because die out of black card and gluing it to a piece of clear acetate.  Working from the back side of the acetate, I used Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue and filled in the letters one at a time, then sprinkled on Polish Silk Glitter and tapped it off.   Where the letters overlap in the die, I mixed a little bit of each of the colours of glitter used n both letters and added it to those areas.  You need to start with the darkest colour of glitter first and work your way to the lightest colour.  That way if the glitter gets on the back of another colour, it won't change the look of it.  Once you have filled in all the letters, set it aside to dry.  All of the white glue will turn clear and you will see the colours when it is completely dry.  I made a multi-layered white frame out of the Double Stitched Rectangles and added it with mounting foam over the acetate.  I used a little bit of mounting foam behind the letters to help keep them from sagging and added a piece of white card behind them.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.    The finished dimensions are       6 1/2"  x  7 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue you looked beautiful yesterday I think this staying at home is suiting you. I'm thinking that one day these big dies will be so useful if only I could get back to the monthly market and share your talents with those that have interest in your brand. Going back to super sloth the other day did you take your sketch book to Zoo Tampa at some point your beautiful sketch looks identical to the cutie they have there. I'm watching far too much tv at the moment lol.
Love to all STAY well keep caring xxx

  8. Good Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes

I am in love with these big bold words, and what fab shows yesterday with both yourself and Gwen, I couldn't afford to get the whole set at once but I will build up on them over time but I do have 2 of them on the way and can't wait to start using them, even though I still have few of the recent launches to use too, but as I always say 'A busy crafter is a happy crafter'.

    Have a wonderful day everyone.

    Good Morning Sue and all.
I was so glad to see you for a little while yesterday. It took me ages to find you but when I did you didn't look a day older than when I saw you the first time.
The card you have done for us today is a lovely way to show off the different colours and could be used for almost anyone.
    Thank you Sue.

  17. Hi Sue. Love this card. It was this technique that was one of those that got me into crafting all those years ago but it's funny I haven't used it for such a long time. We do tend to forget about things as all the new products and techniques come our way.
