To A Dear Friend

Hi there my crafty friends!  For today's card, I embossed a piece of white card with the Diagonal Floral Vines embossing folder.  I used the new Ballet Slippers Matt Chalk Polish over the tops of the diagonal floral vines on the background.  I cut a white frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles and added it with foam.  I added more of the polish to a piece of card and then cut the To A Dear Friend sentiment out of it.  I also cut the centres for the flowers so that everything coordinated.  Using the Petal Pocket Flowers, I cut one of each size out of white card with an attached sticky sheet.  I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on the and then assembled them and glued the pink centres into each of them.  I added them in the corner and used the Delicate Fronds as accents.  The sentiment was shadowed and glued in the upper corner.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

  24. Hi Sue
    Happy Thursday everyone x
Oh this is so pretty - love it x
The colour of that chalk paint is gorgeous. Love the way you have used it to enhance that beautiful Embossing Folder. Such a lovely look x
I do have my crafty beady eye on those Matt chalk paints. I think I would use them a lot. Whenever I have seen them demonstrated or in your posts I think they look so pretty and the colours are just lovely x
Another blast from the past - the petal pocket flowers. I do love all your new dies but it is good to have reminders of the forgotten dies which I know I have in my stash. The last and biggest job I have on my clean up list is to go through my Sue dies and put them ALL to good use. I have sooooo many it will take me a long time. Going to start with the finishing touches and work my way through category by category.
To a dear friend is a sentiment that would be used a lot if I had it in my stash. I am so lucky to have so many really good friends who do so much for me. Have not seen much of them recently obviously, but they are still beavering away doing me favours behind the scenes. Oh to be able to meet for a coffee - won’t that be nice. Soon I hope for us all x
Today’s sort out job is embellishments. Most of these date back to the prehistoric era when I first began crafting and have been pushed to the dark depths of the very back of the cupboard. As of yesterday my ribbons have been colour coordinated and tidied to within an inch of their lives x
I am so pleased that the vaccinations are being rolled out and slowly but surely giving people the reassurance and boost that is so desperately needed. My mam and dad and my mother in law have both had their first dose and most of my friends parents as well. It’s good news isn’t it x

  31. I have that embossing folder! YAY! don't have chalk polish but I think the opal polish would work. My brain is working on this one. I love to see a card that I actually have everything (nearly) to make. I am having problems crafting. This puppy I have now is such a distraction. I thought by 9 months she would settle but she is always busy except when asleep and she eats and chews things up if she can plus she whines if I close her in another room from me. She is a COV19 puppy for sure. Needs to go to obedience classes. 2020 was a horrible year on so many levels. We all missed so much. Sorry to blab.
