Just A Note To Say...

Hello crafters!  I found this one I made ages ago that never had a day on the blog!  I started with a piece of Silver Sparkle Yupo card and used alcohol inks all over it.  I used Sunshine Yellow, Sailboat Blue, Citrus, and Red Pepper alcohol inks.  Next I cut the Just A Note Frame in white,  I inked through the die with Black Soot Oxide ink to add some detail before removing the die cut.  Next I nipped it apart so I was able to put the pieces back together differently.  I was going for a sort of swirl across the card and was pleasantly surprised how it came out!  I cut the die again in red card and nipped away just the guitar and added it to the centre where two of the pieces met.  I cut the sentiment in white and added it to the top right corner.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  X  8"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

  11. Good Morning Sue. WOW that a card ... when I opened up I thought I was back in the 1960,s ... in the psychedelic era of my youth. This is a great card for reviving those memories. Well done Sue for brightening up my morning ... Especially after the news last night. Thankyou. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

  19. Hi Sue. I love this die and have found it so useful as many of my friends are musically inclined. I hadn't thought of chopping into it to use it in this way and so I now have more ways of using it for the same friends! Great background too

  30. Hi Sue, a bright, bold and beautiful card. As others have said it also reminds me of the 60's and the psychedelic patterns we had on fabrics and all sorts. Very clever cutting and joining of the die, I didn't guess immediately that it was the frame die. I have several musical friends who would love this card.

  35. Great use of bright colors and a clever way of rearranging die cuts. I have enjoyed making pieces using alcohol inks on Silver Sparkle Yupo card. I have also experimented with glitter card that has a type of plastic covering over the glitter, i.e. smooth glitter card. This smooth glitter card also works similarly as the Sparkle Yupo card. Thank you for sharing. Hugs
