I'm Here For You

Hello crafters!  It's pixies again!  I just love them (if you can't already tell! LOL)  Funny thing, I was just thinking the other day that I have never had to replace any of them, that is how long they last!  And you know that I use them a lot too!  Just saying, really great craft investment!  I started with a piece of white card and used Sun Yellow and Burnt Orange Pixie Powders all over, then spritzed them with water.  I allowed them to dry naturally, then cut a piece of it into a large square.  I cut the Cecilia die in white and glued it to the top of the pixies card.  Next I cut a thin white frame using the Double Stitched Circles and added it over the Cecilia die with mounting foam.  I added it to a larger square of white card and added pearls in opposite corners.  I cut the I'm Here For You sentiment in white and added it to the centre of the frame.  Using some of the leftover pixied card, I cut several of the Whirligig Flowers and assembled them, then added them in opposite corners.  I used the Lace Edged Leaves in white as accents.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  6 3/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  3. Morning Sue, bright and beautiful today, love everything about this card. I don't think I will ever get tired of seeing or making pixie powder backgrounds, they are just so different, no matter how many you make using the same colours. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx

  4. Hi Sue and all that visit. I agree it's the 2nd best way to spend craft funds on pixie powder magic, I dont use mine anywhere near as much as you do but even my favourite blue shades look brand new and those are used a lot. Anyway I'm loving the inspiration today and the sentiment is really special especially at this moment in time. Although it's a lovely sentiment it has a small amount of sadness attached but the colours you chose for the background and flowers lifts emotions and replaces it with smiles. One day before lockdown is lifted and whereas we'd give our granddaughter a kiss and cuddle on the first day of her advent calendar we are driving over whilst she's at school (school already) and our daughter is at work so it's so horribly difficult and different. On a plus - all festive orders finished and I keep hearing a fanfare and the pop of poppers lol I'm soooooo relieved lol, time to parcel them all up and send them TLC the sorting office large post box, even the way I send my orders have changed, no more laughing and chatting to my local post office staff. See I can't help rambling, NY resolution I'm thinking lol. Love to all today STAY SAFE KEEP CARING xxx 💕

A beautiful card. I agree that pixies are a great craft investment - a unique masterpiece each time you use them, and the pot lasts such a long time.

  15. Good Morning Sue. If I needed cheering up this morning you certainly made it happen ... to see this FAB U LOUS card first thing ... what an absolute delight ... the sentiment is just perfect too ... and you are right about the pixie powders ... I have had mine ages and have never had to replace them ... a real bargain. I love to have a day making backgrounds ... wait till they are dry ... put them in see through sleeve and just have them waiting there as I need them ... and what a thrill I get when
" just the right one " turns up ... love it.
AND ALL THANKS TO YOU SUE showing us many moons ago how it's done. Oh how I miss those videos. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning. Kind Regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

  20. Hi Sue. I don't usually go to orange very often but these colours that you have used have shown just how uplifting the colour can be. Your dies have now become so intricate that you don't have to work too hard to make a really stunning card.

This is so pretty it brightens up the day.I went food shopping today the first time since March.I went at 7am nobody was about wore plastic gloves and a mask and my husband loaded everything into the trolley it felt so strange but so normal.I know I shouldn't because I am on the at risk register but it brought some sanity into my life.

  25. Hi Sue
Love everything about this card, the way the sentiment fits perfectly in the centre of the beautiful cecilia Die, the whirlygig flowers but most of all I love that wonderful burst of orange and gold pixie powders

  26. This is a beautiful card and I do love Cecilia who I have and have not even tried out yet. Shameful, I know. This was one of my newer purchases and although I have made a lot of cards while "staying safe", it seems I still have a long list of "want to use" items. I will blame it on this new puppy who is a challenge (will she ever settle we wonder and quit chewing on all our possessions? )
Have a great day to all here,
    Stephanie K (caught up!)

  37. For some reason, the circle shape is my least favorite shape. I don’t dislike it but it isn’t a shape I reach for first. I love this card. Not only do the Pixie Powders continue to create lovely backgrounds but the Cecilia die is gorgeous. The entire card is like a bit of sunshine! I’m definitely going to look at circle shapes differently in the future.
