Hello there my crafty friends! Need a really easy, quick card for a new baby? This one works a treat! I started by taping the large Polka Dot Mask to a piece of coconut white card. I started to ink through the mask on a diagonal using Distress Oxide inks using a small smoothie. I used Fossilized Amber, then Spiced Marmalade, Worn LIpstick, Shaded Lilac and Peacock Feathers. I cut the piece out with the Double Stitched Squares and double matted it. Next I grabbed my Double Stitched Rectangles and cut two smaller ones and added them with mounting foam in the centre of the card. I used the Baby word from the Newborn Sentiments set and cut it out of card colours that coordinated with the inks from the polka dot mask. I glued them into place on the smaller mats. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now. Sue x

Hello Sue
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea it is so colourful, and as Muriel says change the sentiment and you have so much inspiration.Take care everyone x
Easy, simple and bright card to make but I don’t think I would do it for ‘baby’. I’m afraid I’m a traditionalist! I’m sure younger parents would like it though.

Hi Sue, I love this beautiful and vibrant CAS card. Although I still love the more traditional style this one really appeals to me. As others have said, just by changing the sentiment the idea could be adapted for other occasions.
