Merriest Christmas Wishes

Hi bloggers!  We are getting closer and closer so I hope you have gotten a start on your Christmas cards!  If not, how about this one for some inspiration!  I started by cutting the Jewelled Background All In One out of white card.   I used the matching Jewelled Edgers and cut a bit more detail into the background.  I cut one more Jewelled Background in Aqua and offset it behind the white one.  I used the edgers to cut the centre piece in white and added an aqua backing to it, then glued it to the centre of the background.   I added a white backing piece to the entire background.  I cut a wide strip of vellum and glued it across the card.  I cut the Merriest Christmas Wishes sentiment out of  Antique Silver card and added a silver mirror card shadow behind it then glued it to the vellum.  Using the Poinsettia Stem die, I cut three of the poinsettia flowers out of antique silver then added the backing in silver mirror card.  I added them in a cluster in the corner and cut some white leaves as accents.  The card was completed with white and silver mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  7 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  4. Gorgeous absolutely gorgeous Sue. With a change of sentiment this can be for any occasion but you know how to do a different spin perfectly. Not everyone wants tradition and each to their own live and let live, but you can give it all - traditional cute and beautiful, it's no wonder we love you as our guiding mentor. Not a single festive card has passed my table, I now have the penguins polar bears and new borders but no get up and go which is soul destroying, I need a good shake and a kick up the lazy bottom lol, it's scary because tomorrow never comes and that's when I'm due to make a start !!!
I'll look back at your launch and the samples you gave us every day throughout I'm sure that will get my mood up and mojo raring.
STAY SAFE KEEP CARING xxx 💕

    Good Morning Sue and all.
I love this one Sue with all it's delicate colours. Like Steph and Marion I'm a bit lacking of the Mojo and my craft room is so packed with 'stuff' that I can hardly move.
Anyway Sue, this morning I'm going to look at some of your recent samples and choose one to start me off and see what happens.
I did make a start on my Christmas Cards before the Pandemic and planned on finishing them around June. They do say that the best laid plans of Mice and Men etc. etc. don't they.
I will let you know tomorrow lol.
    Have fun.
