Miss You

Hiya crafters!  For today's card, I pulled out the Penny Copper Glitter Kiss and coated a piece of card with it.  I allowed it to dry then cut a piece off for the background.  I used the cutting die from the Claire die set to cut an aperture in the centre of it.  Next I embossed the piece with the Quilted Pillow embossing folder (have I said how much I love this folder!)  I added mounting foam to the back of it and attached it over a piece of white card.  I recessed the Claire outline from the aperture down inside, then cut the Claire two more times using the decorative die, once in white and once in black.  I offset the black one behind then glued them into the recessed aperture.  I used the two outer dies from the Claire to cut a thin white frame which I glued around the outside of the aperture.  I cut a small frame using the Double Stitched Circles and added a hand embossed line between the dies before removing them.  I added mounting foam to raise it and added it to a white circle.   I cut the Miss You sentiment out of an extra piece of the Glitter Kiss card and added a black shadow to it, then glued it into the frame.  Using the Diagonal Floral Vine Embossing folder, I embossed a piece of white card.  I used my paper cutter to remove two of the longer rows of embossing.  I added a thin black mat then glued them to the edges of the card.  I love the way they frame the centre!  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Morning Sue and all WIlsonettes, another gorgeous creation using my most favourite embossing folder, the quilted pillow, this looks stunning even if you use the other side of the folder, I know because I embossed some gold card which was white on the reverse and realised I had put the card the wrong way, but when it came out I like the reverse as well, so 2 for the price of 1 Sue, did you mean that to happen... Anyway this is a gorgeous creation thank you for sharing.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  2. Woah. Amazing. We need to arrange 'Round The World Card Tour' events because I know from posts from past samples how many of us can only imagin the beauty, or the bling or texture etc unless there is someone within our blog family that has every single element you used to make your sample. So maybe you could send your inspiration to the nearest friend to your home, they then pass it on - follow a list of where it needs to go next, worth the postage I'd say lol, then the last person returns it or better still when you're travelling again to do demo's you collect it and give a lesson at the same time lol. Okay so it's a ridiculous idea but does it really hurt to dream. We miss you xxx

  13. Good Morning Sue. A lovely card this morning Sue. And the sentiment is very fitting for these worrying times.... When is it going to end... Everyone is getting down now.. it's been so long... But then here you are again with a sentiment that says it all... On a beautifully made card.
Love STEPHANIES idea... I wonder how long it would take for that to happen and return to original start place. Ohh and everyone could sign it ... This would be great. And a bit of fun for us all. Just the thought of this made me feel better.Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning.Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds Ls10.
    PLEASE STAY SAFE EVERYONE 🙏 🙏 🙏

  19. Hi Sue

Lovely card. Unusual colour but looks good. I too love this folder it always looks good. I wasn’t too sure I ‘needed’ the diagonal floral vine folder, but because of this card I’ve changed my mind. Claire looks great here too. Great sentiment tucked into the little circle, and yes we really do miss having you on tv more. I hope you return when this is all over and it’s safe to do so.

    Love Helen xxx

I like the idea of the round the world but I cannot work out how it could be done and then it only takes one person to break the chain ...

  34. WHAT A GREAT MIRACLE THAT I HAVE EVER SEE IN MY LIFE. My names are Clara David I’m a citizen of USA, My younger sister was sicking of breast cancer and her name is Sandra David I and my family have taking her to all kind of hospital in USA still yet no good result. I decided to search for cancer cure so that was how I found a lady called Peter Lizzy. She was testifying  to the world about the goodness of a herbal man who has the roots and herbs to cure all kinds of disease and the herbal man's email was there. So I decided to contact the herbal man @herbalist_sakura for my younger sister's help to cure her breast cancer. I contacted him and told him my problem he told me that I should not worry that my sister cancer will be cure, he told me that there is a medicine that he is going to give me that I will cook it and give it to my sister to drink for one week, so I ask how can I receive the cure that I am in USA, he told me That I will pay for the delivery service. The courier service can transport it to me so he told me the amount I will pay, so my dad paid for the delivery fee. two days later I receive the cure from the courier service so I used it as the herbal man instructed me to, before the week complete my sister cancer was healed and it was like a dream to me not knowing that it was physical I and my family were very happy about the miracle of Doctor so my dad wanted to pay him 5 million us dollars the herbal man did not accept the offer from my dad, but I don't know why he didn't accept the offer, he only say that I should tell the world about him and his miracle he perform so am now here to tell the world about him if you or your relative is having any kind of disease that you can't get from the hospital please contact dr.sakuraspellalter@gmail.com or whats app him +2348110114739  you can follow him up on Instagram @herbalist_sakura for the cure, he will help you out with the problem. 35. A lovely card that for sure looks even better in real life. I wish to have in my hands, even for a day, your cards, Sue. So, I am for Steph's idea. On the other hand, I have bad experience sending cards overseas. Many of my cards didn't get to the destination even I got email saying Delivered. For some I paid the extra postage fee but they still got lost.I sent a card back home a month ago. It shows still in transit. Hopefully will reach the destination one day.

Hugs from Toronto to you all.
    Stay safe and healthy.
