Happy Birthday

Good Sunday morning all!  I started this card by taping the Lattice mask to a piece of white card.   I used the Mink Luna Paste through the mask and allowed it to dry well.  Once dry, I cut it on a diagonal and added the two pieces to a piece of Old Rose card, leaving a gap in the centre.  I cut the Noble Happy Birthday in white and glued it into the gap area.  I added two thin strips of Old Rose card on foam on either side of the gap.  I used the Striped Nasturtiums flowers cut in Old Rose and made three flowers.  I seated the flowers in a cluster in the lower portion of the card.  I used Lace Edged Leaves as accents cut in white.  The card was completed with white and Old Rose mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x
8 1/2" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  2. Hiya Sue. I absolutely love my noble Happy Birthday due and use it a lot its brilliant for plain and understated cards its brilliant for frufru fancy cards,I've used it on 8x8 and 7x7 which ever way you use it your bound to have a beautiful card, I'd love more this size Sue even duplicates of some of the smaller dies in Noble would be so very useful. Ever thought of being the first ever designer to add braille to your expression dies, I think they'd be so useful - what do you think?
    Sending love this Sunday xx

    Good Morning Sue and all.
A lovely card and a great bold statement ,The upper right of the card looks chalky but doesn't detract from the statement. I love the beautiful flowerstoo.

A great idea from Steph. but would cost a fortune I'm sure. Before the pandemic I attended a card-making group on a regular basis at a venue for the blind and low vision. There was only one of us totally blind and with a little help she did very well. She will be delighted when I tell her Steph.
    Hugs.

  14. Hi SUE
I like the colours and your card but not so sure about the bold sentiment being that it consumes the whole card

  15. Hi Sue. I do love the luna paste on cards as it almost looks as though it is made of glass. I hadn't realised you had used the mink colour as it doesn't come across on the photos but I am sure it looks different in real life.

  16. Well Sue you had me puzzled for a few minutes, when I first saw this card on fb I thought the background had been diecut & backed with silver. I didn’t recognise it & then the penny dropped when I read your instructions! I think I was half asleep! A lovely card, thank you Sue.

  25. I love the Luna pastes so right off a good card for me. The banner idea is marvelous. I do not have the Noble Happy Birthday...another for my list. I received a package of 2020 SW Christmas dies yesterday....whoop, whoop!UK Packages are finally arriving at my door. I have one take 3 months to get here....a month in Chicago (?).
SC is not getting over the virus so I need my crafting.
I believe the UK is fairing better but stay safe and happy all my Blogger Buddies,

  26. Hi Sue, this card certainly has impact. I'm afraid I am in the minority in that I don't like the raised edges around the sentiment, for me they are overpowering. I do love the Lattice mask with the Mink Luna Paste peeping through and the pretty Nasturtiums.
