Wishing You Well

Good Sunday morning all!  I started this card with a piece of coconut white card and the Feathered Mask taped to it.  I used the Stellar Ice Luna Paste through it with a plastic palette knife.  I set it aside to dry thoroughly, then I used the Millie die and cut an aperture in the centre.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it, then cut the outer two dies from the Millie die set and added a thin white frame around the edge of the aperture.  I recessed the rest of the masked background down into the aperture opening.  I cut a small frame using the Double Stitched Circles.  I added it with foam in the centre of the card and cut the Wishing You Well sentiment to fit inside.  Using the Jasmine dies, I cut enough for three different sized flowers out of Steel card.  I assembled them and added them around the edge of the aperture.  I used Lace Edged Leaves in white as accents.  The card was completed with white and Steel card mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

  1. Oh Sue what stunning beautiful inspiration, this could be a real tear jerker of a wedding card with a change of sentiment it really is gorgeous. Normally I'd be getting ready for market - it's the very first since we said goodbye to market friends and visitors, I have an inside spot due to health, no inside tables for a while, so my new norm is no market for goodness how long, so I'm feeling a little down and frustrated but I'm safe - so ...STAY SAFE BE SENSIBLE KEEP CARING KEEP CRAFTING. Love to you all today xxx 💖

  26. Hi Sue. Love this card today because of the way the luna paste creates a gentler effect than using mirri card for example. Love that mask too.

A stunning and elegant card today. I love how the Luna Pastes look through masks. Using Millie the way you did makes one's eyes take a second look. Cutting into the main pattern and then adding it back in certainly is an interesting technique. Well done. Thank you for sharing. Hugs
