Have A Magical Day

Hello there my crafty friends!  Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes yesterday!  I had a lovely lazy day and really enjoyed it!  Back to work now and I started this card with a piece of teal card and I used the Beaded Flourish stamp and a clear Perfect Medium pad to watermark it all the way around the edge.  Next I took Tantalising Teal and Blue Allure Lustre Polish and coated a piece of card with them.  I added cling film over it, scrunched it and set it aside to dry overnight.  I peeled the cling film off and matted it with white card.  Using the You Make My Heart Smile All in One, I cut it in white and nipped the saying out of the centre of it, leaving just the border design.  I glued it onto the lustre polish background and added pearls as accents.  I cut the Have A Magical Day in white and glued it into the centre.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  4. This is stunning. It's nice to read you spent yesterday relaxing but I hope it was magical too. Your dies give us so much pleasure and have helped to keep our low spirits high over the past few months when the outside has been bought inside by many of your floral designs. For every occasion that 'requires' a gift I know what I'll receive lol my list has 70 plus metal suggestions, the beautiful surprise is which one's so I wonder what does the lady that designs the gifts added to our lists 4 times a year add to her gift list lol, whatever it may be I hope you got lot's ❤

  36. Hi Sue

I’m glad you enjoyed your birthday yesterday and had lots of lovely birthday wishes. Love this card. It reminds me that I have not used the watermark technique for ages, yet it is so effective. It works really well here as a contrast to the lustre polishes, and the border from the you make my heart smile all in one die looks fabulous teamed perfectly with the have a magical day sentiment. A great card.

    Love Helen xxx

Beautiful design today with your stamped layer and your Lustre Polished layer and ofcourse your You Make My Heart Smile die cut. I have your Beaded Flourish die, but have not seen the matching stamp. Your watermark layer using this stamp is lovely. So pleased to hear you had a lovely lazy day and that you enjoyed your birthday. Hugs

  45. Hi Sue. I am always drawn to dark blue and white cards although it wouldn't necessarily be a colour choice I would go for when making a card. Perhaps you are telling me something here! It is a very striking card though.
