Good Sunday morning all! How about a bold, but glitzy birthday card! I started with my pixie powders,
Aubergine Dream and Plum Twist. I applied the powders liberally, spritzed water, then used Cling film scrunched up over it and allowed it to dry overnight. The cling film grabs the mica and you can see all the interesting patterns it makes. I cut it with the
Double Stitched Rectangles, then added a multi layered white frame around it. I added the frame to a larger piece of white card that I covered with a
sticky adhesive sheet. I coated around the edges with
Iced Snow (for the glitzy part) and left the centre and added my rectangle pixied frame. I used a bit of the leftover pixie card and cut the
Cosmos Flowers out of it. I added white overlay outlines to them, then assembled the flowers. I added the flowers in opposite corners and used the
Lace Edged Leaves cut in white as accents. I cut the
Bold Happy Birthday in white and added a black shadow to it then glued it in the centre of the frame. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now,

ReplyDeleteOhh my word this is absolutely gorgeous I love the colours you've used and there's those lovely tell tale cling film patterns. I'd get so dizzy if I received a card like this and it would be mounted in a frame after a month or so of being free standing lol. There are times I make the odd card that make me smile but hand on heart Sue, the nicest have been CAS with your Noble Expression it needs very little else to make a beautiful card so thank you for helping us make the nicest CAS or otherwise with these dies.

Your Laced Edged Leaves are one of my favorite leaves. Thanks for the inspiration. I hope I remember to put my gloves on before playing with the pixies. I am a messy crafter when it comes to pixies. LOL
