For You

Hello crafters!  I thought you might enjoy another look at the new Aurora Flakes.  I started today's card by cutting the Double Stitched Squares twice to give me a staggered base.  Next I added some sticky adhesive sheet to white card and cut a smaller frame using the same dies.  I peeled the backing off and used the Blue Ice Aurora Flakes on both the frame and the inner section.  I added mounting foam to the frame then added it to the centre of the backing squares.  I recessed the centre down into the frame.  I cut the centre of the Eliza die in white and the For You sentiment and glued both of them into the recessed centre.  Using the Petal Pocket  flowers set, I made a flower and cut the centre out of a small piece of card leftover from the frame on which I used the Aurora Flakes.   I glued it to the centre of the flower and added a pearl.  I seated the flower in the lower corner and added Lace Edged Leaves in white as accents.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished diemnsions are 7"  x  7" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, these flakes look stunning when the light shines on them as you can see in some of the close ups, what a stunning array of colours. I also like the way you have cut out the stiemens on the flower in the same paper very effective.

  4. Oh my goodness Sue these flakes look aaaamazzzing what an adorable colour, it looks like a mix of two colours, I'm thinking I need to really check these new flakes out. My cheeks still hurt from yesterday's inspiration and I'm off again lol.

I don't mean to make you sigh or look skyward it's just that I care and I'm scared for all those names I've seen for years and years but.....

  8. Hello Sue
This is my sort of card I love the colours of the flakes. I finally got round to ordering your adjustable frame yesterday then spent over an hour deciding on what to go with it so I wouldn't have to pay postage. Why are all your dies so needable

    Morning Sue,
What a beautiful card. With flakes like these you don't need many embellishments. The colours look so pretty.
You've just reminded me to get my flower out as I haven't used it for a while.

  15. Good Morning Sue. Ohhh Sue. I got so emotional when I opened this morning's card. The lovely Aurora Flake colour looks Turquoise on my screen. And this colour is the colour of my favourite place in the world. Turkey is called The Turquoise coast. We should be there now... but unfortunately... Corona 19 put it out of bounds. Ahhh well.. we can but dream. And that's just what your card is this morning. A beautiful Dream. All your layering is exactly spot on...just perfect. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning.Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.
    PLEASE STAY SAFE EVERYONE 🙏 🙏 🙏
