Hope

Hello there my crafty friends!  Here's another really quick card but with quite a pop of colour!  I grabbed a background out of my premade background pile.  This one uses Yellow and Orange Crystal Tints on acetate, then scrunched up tissue paper is added to it and allowed to dry.  I usd the Double Stitched Squares to make a mukti layered frame in black and white to go over the background.  Next I cut the Hope Circle out of both white and black, shadowed it then glued it into the centre of the frame.  Clean and simple, but you can easily add flowers to dress it up if you desire.  The card was completed in white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x
7 1/2" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  25. Hi Sue
Well what a fabulously bright and beautiful card to greet me on my return. I love love love those colours and they are made even more stunning by the good old acetate and scrunchy tissue technique. Wonderful x
I have a pile of premade backgrounds using a vast array of colours and techniques and I tend to forget about them. Note to self - check them out and put them to good use girl.
Apologies for my almost 3 week absence. Had an ‘episode’ of Chronic fatigue which hit me like a brick wall, knocked me down and left me there to suffer! Hey ho - fingers crossed I am back in the land of being upright!
I hope all you Wilsonettes are well - am very out of touch with everyone’s news and out of the loop so sending you all love and best wishes x
Take care and stay safe x

Morning Sue, your background really does reflect the wonderfully not days that we are experiencing here in the NE. It really does make a pleasant change. Great sentiment too.
I should take a leaf out of your book Sue and spend a day or 3 playing around creating backgrounds. Hugs xxx Pauline

  32. Hi Sue, a most striking card and a complete contrast to yesterday's pastel offering. It is a little stark for my liking and I would have to add some flowers and foliage but the sentiment is spot on for these difficult times.

  43. I love the sentiment on this card. I really like that you give us wonderful sentiments but make them large enough to be the focal point on the card. It allows to create a quicker card when we need one in a hurry. I appreciate that and this sentiment is so uplifting.
