You Add Colour To My World

Hello bloggers!  Back at it with the pixies today!  I started by grabbing a background made with Midnight Blue and Aqua Lagoon Pixie powders.  Next I cut the Plumage Background out of coconut white card and while it was still in the die, I inked through it with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.  I continued to leave it in the die and added glue to the back and set it on top of my pixie powdered background. I ran it back through the die cutting machine on the emboss setting so the background was not only embossed into it, but was now glued into place as well.  I trimmed the edges even, leaving a bit of a white border around it.  I used a small extra piece of the background to cut the sentiment from it and glued it onto a Pierced Flag die.  I seated it across the card then added a Cosmos Flower that had been glittered with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz to it.  I accented it with a few white leaves too.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Oh WOW Sue what an amazing way to start our day here in the UK, those colours are absolutely staggeringly amazing. I'm not so clever following written instructions so I'm hoping I'll find your video tutorial for this beauty.
To all that pop into Particraft this Friday, stay safe, please keep well keep others well and imagine just how special those hugs will feel when the world feels better. I shall make a few small springlike Easter cards with your Easter dies to put through a few neighbours doors hopefully just to cheer everyone up a little.

STAY SAFE AND KEEP CRAFTING ❤ xxx

This card design is a definite WOWZER! The combination of Midnight Blue and Aqua Lagoon Pixie Powders is one of my favorites. You have given us a new way to construct a design today. Thank you. I have embossed a piece of card without die cutting it and placing it in a die cut piece as a substitute to paper piecing. But I have not applied glue to the back of this cut piece while its in the die, after inking through the die, and then running it through the machine to emboss and glue both layers together. Sue you are brilliant. Today's card makes me wish I had this Plumage Background die. Stay safe and stay well. Hugs
