You Make Me Happy

Hi there my crafty friends!  I have a wild blue one for you today! LOL    I started with my pixie  powders, Midnight Blue and Aqua Lagoon to be exact.  Once it was dry, I used the decorative die from the Stella die to cut into the card, randomly all over the background.   I backed it with white card to show through the cut out detail of the Stella die.  Next I used the Double Stitched Rectangles die set and cut it into rectangle steps.  I added mounting foam to raise up the two inner levels so the centre was standing the highest.  I cut the You Make Me Happy sentiment die in white and added a black die cut shadow behind then glued it into the centre of the card.  I completed the card with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  4. Oh wowzer Sue it's been a week of perfect Pixie's what a way to start a morning or early evening depending where you live I mean you're probably watching tv whilst I'm typing this post (or sketching new ideas) lol. I'm so pleased you give us a few close up stills of your post as this looks like a plain pixie backgrounds until we see the various layers and it's so pretty with the splashes of colours and the delicate design of the Stella you've made me smile on this cold dark morning in Lancashire. Hope your day starts warmer and continues to make people smile xxx

  15. Good Morning Sue. A beautiful sample today. I love how you have cut into the main card and then layered them all up. A very different but effective technique. And could be made with any circular lace die. I have Millie in mind. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

Just a little question tho when you cut out the layers,

WOW! What a great technique. If you had not given closeup photos, I would not have even noticed that the rectangle pieces were actually cut out instead of just dry embossing with the dies. I can see how this cutting and piecing back could be a little tricky. But you did a marvelous job doing so. And that is why you, Sue, are the professional. Hugs

  32. Hi Sue. Love the effect created by cutting the Stella die out of the pixied card and also that the die leaves the blue circle in the middle - perfect for adding mats and layers.

  38. The Stella die is one of my favorites. You have given this card lots of interest with the double-stitched rectangle steps. This is a wonderful way to add dimension to this beautiful card. The Pixie background is beautiful. Hugs.
