Spread Your Wings And Fly

Hello bloggers!  I am back at the silver sparkle card and the alcohol inks for this one!  I used Indigo, Sailboat Blue and Cool Peri alcohol inks on to the silver sparkle card.  I loved the way it came out like a night sky with the indigo really leaving darker patches throughout.  Next I cut the background of the Spread Your Wings die out of vellum.  I cut the decorative part of the die out of Khaki card, white card and Sky Blue card.  I used the Khaki version as the base and nipped away the words out of the white version and glued them on top on the khaki card version.  I did the same thing with the birds out of the sky blue card version.  I carefully glued it onto the vellum backing and then used cosmic lacquer onto the leaves to give them a glossy look.  I completed the card with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  7 1/2" n size.  All for now. Sue x

  11. Good Morning Sue.Another beautiful card this morning. You amaze me with your continued inspiration during these worrying times. Will we ever get back to normal. I hope so. I tried the technique you did yesterday but with pixie powders. It worked but maybe I have used too much spray glue. It's usable though. I am so pleased. Thankyou. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

  33. A beautiful background for this great die. One I can replicate, thanks to you Sue, once I get some alcohol inks. This would also make a lovely background for your flying owl. Thank you for all your inspiration Sue & keep safe.

  35. A beautiful card today and so perfect for our loved friend Lorraine Eastwood aka Laine1972 who lost her battle with Cancer.
    For Laine:
"Spread your wings and fly Angel, your life has touched us all. Your wings so very delicate, but your spirit conquers all. You gave us so much joy on earth but God now reclaims his prize. Spread your wings and fly Angel, let your wings take to the skies. We will miss you dearly, but your transition is complete. Your wings are now an Angel’s, back home you must retreat."

    Stay safe and healthy.
