You Add Colour To My World


Hello bloggers!  I started by cutting the Plumage Background out of both white card and black card.  I used the black as a shadow and mounted it behind the white version, just slightly offset.  Next I went to my messy background stash and found a pretty Pixie Powdered Background.  I had used midnight Blue, Aqua Lagoon, and Purple Violet Pixie Powders on it.  I used the Double Stitched Squares to cut a large frame out of it.  I used the inside piece as the backing for the Plumage Background.  I added a smaller black mat frame to the inside of the Pixie Powder frame and attached it with mounting foam, then added the frame over the Plumage Background.  I cut a Pierced Flag and seated the sentiment on it cut out of black card.  I used a bit of left over Pixie powdered card and cut the Cosmos Flower out of it.  I seated the flower to the side of the sentiment flag and added white leaves from the set as accents.  The card was completed with white and blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now.     WOW Sue. Your plumage background die looks amazing. I wish my shadowing looked as crisp and precise, as soon as I start to position the card I'm using to shadow my hands start shaking lol I've tried being careful and I've plonked but it's never looked this good, especially with the gorgeous pixie powder showing through what a beautiful start to the week. After looking at your new collection again I can't help but wonder where the first thoughts start especially the 'totally different' two you've designed, amazing. Sending Monday love your way xxx

    This sample is great and I did a double take to figure out the die used as it looked like a Mandala to my sleepy eyes at first. Beautiful background making into a wonderful card.
