Sending Warm Wishes

Hi bloggers!  I have been having fun with the Cube Quilt on this card!  I started by cutting the Cube Quilt out of white, black and Iris card.  I experimented with offsetting the three colours against each other and turning them in opposite directions.  I ended up with this pattern which I found pleasing and interesting.  I glued them together and added a white backing to it.  I added some thin strips of black card to cover the cut edges and added pearls in each of the corners.  I cut a larger piece of white card and ran double sided tape around all four edges.  I sprinkled Periwinkle Polished Silk Glitter over the tape.  I added the quilt piece to the centre with mounting foam.  The Sending Warm Wishes sentiment was used cut in black and added to white shadows.  I stacked the sentiment in the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x 7 3/4" in size.  All for now Sue x

  18. This card looks so complicated yet from your description sounds relatively straightforward, just a case of turning each layer until you like the look. Very clever Sue, thank you!

Amazing sample this morning , The background you have created with layers from the dies is stunning. The whole design really draws the eye in and you cannot help keep looking. It looks like you have spent hours weaving.
