Sending Love & Hugs

Hi bloggers!  Today's offering a a rather quick card to make if you need a eye catching make on a time budget!  I started with a piece of card and used Opal Polishes across it.  Using  the Pink Thistle, Blue Parakeet and Lavender Blue Opal Polishes, I randomly added streaks across the card with all the colours until it was full, then allowed it to dry (just a few minutes as they  dry quickly).  I cut the Stella die out of it twice and the Sending Love & Hugs sentiment.  I glued the two Stella dies to the white card background so they extended off the card slightly.  I trimmed them even with the edge of the card.  I cut the sentiment apart and used the "Sending" at the top pf the card and the rest of the sentiment in the opposite lower corner.  I completed the card with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  2. Morning Sue, what a stunning card to send to someone, just to tell them you care. Love the colours used together on the die cut pieces. Opal polishes, gilding polishes and pixies just make fabulous coloured pieces to use on cards and projects. Have a good day all. BX

  24. Hi Sue. What a lovely simple card today and this design certainly lets the dies do all the talking. I never think to use part of the die on my cards as it seems a shame to cut part of them away, however, I think, having seen this it really is such a good idea.

  46. Hi Sue a late reply from me today. After a rough day at work this beautiful card is like a ray of sunshine. I love the way you've used the partial dies and the opal polishes. I have quite a few opal polishes but not had time to play with them yet. I dont have the Stella die but I can see this idea working great with a lot of your other dies that I already have.
Looking forward to trying this with other dies and sentiments to make a couple of quick cards which is a rarity for me haha.
