Sending Love & Hugs

Hello crafters!  I started this card by cutting the Eternal Heart Tree out of white card for the top and tan card for the trunk.  I added foam to the backs of both to raise them.  Next I used the top of the tree and embossed it into white card, then hand trimmed around the outside.  Next I cut the top of the tree again out of Ruby Red card.  I put glue on all the hearts on the white embossed piece, lined up the red die cut one and pushed all of the hearts out onto the white backing.  I used that as the base and added the tree with the foam over the top of it.  I added it to a larger piece of white card and cut the Sending Love & Hugs apart to fit around the tree.  I added it to another piece of white card that I cut with the Double Stitched Squares.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  27. Hi Sue,
Do you know - great minds think alike. I was only picking up this die, for a card to make today. And then this inspiration (your post) came my way. It is lovely, I like trees and this heart tree is no exception. And I'll use the red colour, too.

  41. Hello Sue,

Aren't you the clever one Sue! I love the effect that you have created for the tree. At first glance, with the shadows created with the 3-D effect, I thought you had used the stained glass effect with crystal tints but when looking at it closer I could see the individual hearts. The card makes "my heart happy." It's just perfect for Valentine's Day.

    Have a wonderful day,

    Beverly
