Abstract Rose Card

Hello crafters!  Today's card is an old technique that uses Distress inks on to your craft mat.  It is fabulous for a quick background and it always looks different every time you do it!

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  31. Hi Sue,
Beautiful card. I love the box die, it is so versatile. And the background is fab.
I have a box full of distress inks, and must use these more.
Everybody seems to be going on about Oxides, but I have to use my distress inks up first - or at least get the 35 l storage box down by half.
I'll watch the video later on, as a treat with a cup of coffee.

  41. Hi Sue, a really lovely CAS card. The elegant rose die certainly lives up to her name here and I love the way you backed the tiles with vellum. Thank you for reminding me of the background technique, I have not done this for a long time (too much fun with pixies) so it is good to have a refresher.

  42. Hi Sue. What a really pretty rose to add an accent to a hand made background. We do all get caught up in using new techniques and it is good to get a gentle reminder of some of the ways we used to make backgrounds. Perhaps it would be a good idea to have a session to make lots of backgrounds for use later when we are pushed for time. Just look at the results as you have shown here!
