On Your Special Day

Hi crafters!  Here is a wedding card that I missed somehow along the way.  I started with a piece of milk card for a more antique look.  I embossed it with the Rows Of Bows Pinpoint Embossing folder.  I cut a smaller piece of milk card and backed it with an antique gold mat and added it to the bottom of the embossed background.  I used a Clear Perfect Medium pad and rubbed it around the edges then used Gold embossing powder and heat embossed it.  In the centre I added the Wedding Column and Arches cut out of milk card.  I added a green ivy to the top of the arch.  Using Enchanted Gold Gilding polish, I lightly rubbed  it across the ivy and columns.  I cut the Wedding Couple out of antique gold card and added them under the arch with foam.  I cut two birds out of milk card and added them to the top corners.  I used the On Your Special Day sentiment cut out of antique Gold card and glued it to the embossed background at the top of the card.  The card was completed with milk and antique gold mats and layers.    The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x
8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  4. Hi Sue
So please you realised you had ‘missed’ this card so that it could have its day on the blog! It definitely deserves to have its moment in the spotlight. It is gorgeous. My sister in law is getting married in July and I will be needing some inspiration for their card.
I am hoping that a mist of calm is going to descend today. I am desperately craving a little normality! I have eaten far too much of all the wrong things and watched the tv far more than I usually do! I am craving radio 2 and porridge for breakfast! Lol x

  18. A quick pop in - doing grandma duties and it's hectic with a young pup, lost half my volume of blood with his razo teeth and my paper thin skin. So I can't wait for him to flop and snooze but your beautiful inspiration was well worth the wait, Lottie thinks so too. These are still on my list, I really will put them to good use one day xxx

  26. Good evening Sue, lovely card. Hope you have had a good Christmas. Mine has been eventful, my son who is 48yrs old thought he would have a go on his nephews hover board but fell off and broke his wrist. He has to have an operation tomorrow to put a plate in to pin it all together! He had to go to A&E here yesterday but had to go home this morning and see his local A&E, why do men do these silly things? Love Jean xxx
