Hi crafters! Here is a quick Christmas card if you are still in the need of some! I started with a piece of white card and used my Aqua Lagoon and Teal Wash Pixie Powders to create the background. I spritzed them with water then allowed them to dry well. I used a white paint pen and hit it to splatter it across the background. I cut the Meredith die in white and glued it to the card. Next I cut the smaller inner die from the Anita in white and glued it in the corner above the Meredith die. I used the Imogen die cut out of silver mirror card and glued it overlapping the two other dies. Using the It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year sentiment, I cut it out of both white and silver mirror card. I used the silver one as a shadow behind the white one and glued them into the lower corner. The card was completed with white on white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x
8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. As crafters we've all come to realise that photos of our work doesn't always do our project justice and in real life it always looks so much nicer, I think this is one of those that needs to be seen to be appreciated, but hey - who doesn't need a last minute quick card? I'm busy doing just that, making CAS festive cards to top up my market basket for either last minute busy or to stop the panic of next year's question "have I got enough"
ReplyDeleteSometimes CAS is what we all need.
Whatever your plans enjoy your day xxx
Gorgeous card Sue xx Hazel

Hello Sue and all
ReplyDeleteOh I love pixie powders and I have just realised with a folder full of pixie powder papers, I have been madly trying to finish off Christmas cards and had forgotten all about them. Love your colours, an unusual, different and really beautiful Christmas card, perfect for the younger or younger at heart recipients who don’t really do traditional.
Hopefully only one main card to do now, my 10 year old granddaughter who loves your dies and will be up at Christmas time “playing” with Grandma, so it has to be pretty special. Thinking lots of holographic glitter, Santa and sleigh over the glittery moon .........
Hugs

A great last minute card idea SUE I really must try and finish the Christmas cards I need
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue,
ReplyDeleteFinished making my cards yesterday but this one will be put on my list for CAS cards, next year. I agree, the photos don't do it justice. Hugs xx Pauline
I’m sure this looks much nicer “in the flesh” but my screen shows it as a dull beige. The idea is a lovely one and it’s such a pity it doesn’t show up as white and therefore much brighter.

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sue.. Lovely card Sue. I could do with you spending a day with me If all your quick cards look like this. I need quick card.... I am really behind this year. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. A nice simple card today. I love snowflakes for Christmas cards. At first glance I thought there was glitter on it but having read the description I see that you have splattered it with white pen - I must remember to do this technique more often.
ReplyDeleteLisbeth
Hi Sue - a really quick card and it would be good to have some pixie powder sheets already made and dried to make it even quicker. Love the addition of the pen splashes - thank you for all your amazing ideas. Sending best wishes

Good Morning Morning Sue and all
ReplyDeleteFantastic card this morning and its always lovely to see your Christmas cards. I know that seeing this card in the flesh will be dancing with sparkle from the pixie powders. The sentiment and snowflake work beautifully on the design.

ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteYou had me at Pixie Powders. I love them and think that they have to be one of the best creations ever. Aqua Lagoon and Teal Wash just happen to be my favorites. The background is just perfect for showing off the beautiful snowflake die cuts. It may be quick but for sure it's a beauty.
Have a wonderful day.
