Season's Greetings

Hello bloggers!  I started today's card by cutting the Ruffle Edged Frame out of antique silver card.  I used Old Rose card to cut the centre base section and layered it onto the larger piece with a white backing added.  Next I cut the Pretty Poinsettia Frame in white.   I added it to a piece of acetate that had a sticky adhesive sheet added.  I peeled the backing off and coated it with Iced Flake to give it a crystallised look.  I glued the Pretty Poinsettia frame to the top of it and paper pieced the flowers back into place from the fall away pieces.  I cut the Season's Greeting sentiment  in silver and added it to a white backing and glued them into the frame.  The card was completed with white, old rose and silver mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

  1. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, gorgeous sample today, old rose card stock, I must get some more of that as I have run out, it is perfect when matched with the grey. The ruffle is a perfect compliment to the other dies too.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Just got started on the festive card order and market cards and I do wish I had these frames, maybe for next year's cards as I have a birthday just before Xmas so New Year new age = new dies lol. Good morning Sue and all
A lovely card that doesn't scream "Christmas".despite the pointessias.
So many different flowers to choose from and so many different cards could be made.
The ruffled edge die is very versatile and is on my wish list.
    Have a great day.

It's great to see different colours instead of the traditional red and green.....although I am a traditionalist at heart. so I think it would be great in any colour way. Thankyou Sue. 35. An interesting and sparkly look using the Iced Flakes behind the acetate and then "floating" the Pretty Poinsettia Frame above it. A challenge to photograph, but you did a good job of doing so. A lovely color combination, too. Thanks for sharing.

  42. Hello Sue,

A lovely card featuring two gorgeous dies from your Festive Collection. An unassuming color wave but very effective. I like how you have done the background with the the Iced Flakes, it does give the feel of chipped ice.

    Have a wonderful day.
