May Your Day Be Filled With Sunshine

Hi crafters!  I have a beautiful autumnal card to share today!  I started with a piece of white Yupo card and used Red Pepper, Sunshine Yellow and Citrus Alcohol inks all over it.  I added a couple of drops of Ranger blending solution to a blending tool with felt to add some unique blending of the colours.  Once dry, I used the Leafy Frame die to cut it.  This did take several passes through the die cutting machine o get through the thick coating on this type of card.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it for dimension.  I used an old JustRite stamp that I had with Black Archival ink.  I stamped it in the centre of a piece of white card, then added the frame over it to centre it in the middle of the frame, then trimmed away the excess card.  I completed the card with a white on white mat and layer.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  6. Monday again and what a warm cosy start this is adorable and although the colder weather doesn't suit me I just really love the autumnal beauty and you've caught it magically in today's inspiration. This frame smiled at me on its launch so it's there with about 40 other dies on my list. Hoping you have a beautiful day xxx

A beautiful card with beautiful Autumn colours.Reminds me so much of my 23 years in Canada.
I wonder what made you use Yupo paper/card and wish there was a forum where these questions could be asked.
Anyway Sue the card is truly beautiful and I do appreciate your blog every day.

  27. That is beautiful. That was my favourite die on your last launch, it does all the work, nothing else needed bar the greeting. I must order that & find somewhere selling Yuppo paper as the effect is lovely. Thank you Sue for your inspiration.

  40. Hi Sue, this card is glorious. There is a sycamore tree in the street outside my window and it is showing just these colours and the leaves are already falling. I love the effect you have got with alcohol inks and Yupo paper and the leafy frame was one of my favourites from that release.

For anyone searching for Yupo paper, C & C have some in stock.

  60. Awesome fall colored design. Your alcohol leaves look like the leaves outside my windows today. The Yupo paper certainly gives an unique design when using the alcohol inks. I have only used the Yupo paper as a background. Your design using this paper with a die cut is a great idea. Thanks for the inspiration.
