May All Your Wishes Come True

Hi bloggers!  I started this card using a piece of card that I Pixie Powdered from my stash.  I used Straw Yellow , Burn Orange and Lava Red Pixie powders on it.  I cut the Dotty Scalloped Celebration Background die into it.  I cut one more out of black card and slightly offset it behind for a shadow, then added a white backing to it.  I made a multi layered frame for it using the Double Stitched Squares, with a wider white base frame and a thinner black frame on it.  I used the Star Quilt die cut in white and over laid it on top for an interesting pattern before adding the multi layered frame over the top.  I cut a Pierced Flag and used the May All Your Wishes Come true sentiment cut in black on it.  I added a pretty flower to the left side of it that was cut from the same pixie powder card.  I used the Cosmos Flower die set and scrunched the flower for a different look.  I used the leaves from the set to accent it in white.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  5. Good Morning Sue and all
What a fantastic card this morning , The mix of sun shine colours from the pixie powders plays tricks with the eyes on the background like watching a sun set and seeing all different shapes. The hint of black really makes the card come together and finished beautifully with the flower.
Crafty hugs to all , Wendy

  9. Hi Sue. Amazing. It's not just the beautiful warm autumnal colours you chose for the background, but the dies you've used all work together to bring the most interesting sample, the little pearls which you can't resist lol and the most gorgeous Cosmos flower for the big finale. Reading your instructions makes it sound like one of the more time consuming cards to prepare and put together but what an amazing outcome - I can imagine the recipient staring speechless at this really gorgeous amazing work of art. What a start to the day with just an unsociable means moggy for company, roll on Saturday xxx

  40. Hello Sue,

What a beautiful display of color that you have created with the pixie powders. I am such a big fan of them and use them frequently. I like how you have combined the dies for your background. I would never have thought to use the STARS outlines with the Dotty background but it really works. The added touch of black just brings everything to life. Beautiful.

    Have a wonderful day.
