Warm Winter Wishes

Hello all!  This is one of my personal favourites of the Christmas card samples that I made.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and used a Salty Ocean Distress Oxide on my craft mat, swiping it a few times.  I spritzed the craft mat with water and picked it up with my white card.  I dried it with a heat tool and did this a few times, drying it each time in between.  Next I used a gold paint pen and splattered it all over.  I cut several of the out die from the Triple Layer Poinsettias out of vellum.  I used Enchanted Gold Gilding Polish on each of the flowers and then assembled them.  I added them into the lower corner and added Evergreen Branches and Winter Foliage as embellishment around them.  I cut the Warm Winter Wishes out of Antique Gold card and added them to a white shadow, then seated them diagonally across the top of the card.  I completed the card with white and Antique Gold mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now,
Sue x

Gorgeous, elegant, I LOVE it. At first glance, I thought you had been playing with Pixie Powder. Then as I read your write-up, I see you used Distress Oxide. This was a surprise. Such a wonderful look as you did this with multiple swipings and heat drying in between swipes. Great blue color for winter and Christmas. Your vellum poinsettias look beautiful with the Enchanted Gold Gilding Polish on them. The gold spatterings are the perfect added element. I can just see you tapping that gold pen. Well done my friend. I hope I have that blue colored Distress Oxide.
