Hi there my crafty friends! I am showcasing one of my new stencils today called
Holly Frame. I taped the stencil to a piece of milk card and used
Forest Moss Distress Oxide through the leafy areas using the pointy tip of a smoothie. Next I used
Candied Apple through the berry portion of the stencil. You can use a post it note to block the adjacent areas if you don't think you can ink them without going into the next areas too. I covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet, then coated it with
Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. Next I cut the
Hayley die out of milk card and added it to the backing piece which I also cut out of milk card. I added cream pearls to the "berry" areas on it and added it with foam to the centre of the background. I cut the
Season's Greeting die out of Red card and added it to a milk card shadow then attached it in the centre of the die. The card was completed with milk card, red and green mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 7" in size. All for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteMorning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh this is so lovely, I didn't know you did this stencil, will have to check this out with my supplier, I can see this being a popular Christmas card because you can adapt it to be a flat card ready for posting. It is such a shame that the cost of postage is so high. Sue this is gorgeous. xx

Hi Sue. I'm so glad to see you showing your new stencils, I noticed them on Joanne Sheen's website earlier this week all three look so pretty and this frame is no exception. I've never tried using stencils but there again there are lots of techniques I've not tried mainly due to confidence and the fear it will add to my addiction which already exacerbates my finances lol. After waking to this really pretty sample I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your samples using the other two or three stencils I've seen. Have a happy day xxx

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely background you've created with one of your new stencils. It's very cheerful in it's Christmas colors and the sparkle from the Glitterbitz really shows them off. The snowflake in the center is the perfect focal element. Of course, I love the pearls.

ReplyDeleteA fabulous card for a Christmas Season's Greeting card. Thanks for the inspiration. Oh, I wanted to remember to tell you how much I enjoyed die cutting your "Just For You" greeting die. I was able to cut two at a time and they both just fell out of the die. I have always liked the look of the die cut greetings. But I have not, until using your greeting die, been successful with the results of the ones I have tried. Now I just want more of your greeting dies. What fun to be successful! I have found my Hallelujah!
