On Your Special Day

Hello there my crafty friends!  I thought I would share a special occasion card with you today!  I started with a piece of coconut white card and very lightly stencil clouds on to the background.  I just hand cut a random scallopy cloud shape out of card and used Tumbled Glass distress ink to stencil around it.  Next I cut the Wedding Gazebo out of Silver Shine card (it looks white but you can see it a bit better in the close ups!)  I dded it to the bottom left of the card.  Next I used the Spring Foliage die and cut several out of Khaki card and added some powder pink flowers to it.  I glued it from the left top side of the card.  I cut the Wedding Couple in both white and black and used the black die cut as a drop shadow.  I added them with foam into the lower right corner.  I cut the On Your Special Day out of silver mirror card and glued it across the gazebo.  The card was completed with white on white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  6. A new week a new die and sample how lovely. I'm so glad to see these special occasion dies get their day. I was hoping to order a pack of the silver shine card from my proceeds of market, but holiday season and non stop torrential rain soon put paid to that, I'll be lucky to treat myself to a single sheet of coconut white lol after weeks of 'moaning' about the heat us brits aren't use to then we go into winter overnight just in time for my first market since April - hohum such is life, right?
But we have a beautiful start to our week (and I'm not talking blue skies and sun) I'm obviously talking about this happy lovely sample. Whatever your plans today hope they bring smiles and happiness xxx

  9. Hi Sue
Oh what a beautiful card. Perfect for any newlyweds. What a gift this would be.
I have your older bride and groom die along with the other older special occasions dies. They have been used a lot for wedding, anniversary and engagement cards both for myself and requests from other people. They are all - what I would call ‘impact dies’ as they never fail to make a lasting impression. Your new Special Occasions dies are the same. So charming that they could not fail to delight even the most hardened wedding cynic!
I have no weddings looming on the horizon (which is a shame as I love a good wedding)!
Busy few days ahead as I am going away on Thursday for almost a month. Trying to get myself organised is hard work! I am visiting various family members including my mam and dad in Newcastle.
    Happy Monday everyone x

    Good morning all.
A beautiful card to brighten this dull, grey and very wet day.
A fabulous card Sue and any couple would be delighted to have it in their keepsake box.
I only make cards for friends and family so wedding cards are not on my list.
Fortunately your techniques are transferable and there are always things to learn.
    Thank you Sue.
