Hi bloggers! I started this card with the background. I lined up a piece of
Old Rose card on top of a piece of
Powder Pink card. I used the middle layer die from the
Wildflower Triple layer dies and randomly cut it out all over the card, making sure that the two colours kept lined up each time. Next I removed the Old Rose card and re cut the same flowers with the top layer of the Wildflower, then glued the two together so they matched up and added a white backing piece behind. I used the
Double Stitched Squares and made a multi layered frame using a wider white base and a thinner Powder pink on top. I attached it over the background with mounting foam. I cut a
Pierced Flag die out of white card then added the
Belated Birthday Wishes sentiment, but I nipped away the Belated part of it. I made three Wildflowers using a white top piece, powder pink for the middle and Old Rose for the base. I added them to the side of the sentiment flag and embellished with white leaves. The card was completed with white, Powder pink and Old Rose mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now. Sue x

ReplyDeleteMorning Sue from a dull miserable and very damp Lancashire but you've brightened the start of my day with these very clever layering dies. They really do give a totally different look to any project. I remember you showing us how to use these on C&C some time ago now, and i also remember thinking that it takes me long enough to finish a card with the dies i have, add your beautiful layering dies to the mix and it would take me even longer lol when I see what you do with them and how gorgeous they look with mix and match colour cardstock it makes me wish I'd added 1 or 2 to my collection but it all looks time consuming as well as complicated, so I'll leave it to those that can do them justice and enjoy the beautiful work you inspire us with. Take care and have a lovely day xxx
