Twin Holly Spray

Hello crafters!  Again, I hate to have to say, but this is the final day of the Christmas release blog launch.  IT seems to have gone by so quickly!  This post is dedicated to the Twin Holly Sprays die set.  There are actually three dies in this set. The two holly dies are hooked together, but cut out separately and two matching berry dies.  I decided to hook the two sprays so that you could cut them out and use the negative as a border or part of a frame, I found it to be an interesting shape.  The holly sprays have been nipped apart and used as accents around the vellum poinsettias in the samples shown.  It's comment time, you know the drill!  I( will be back at noon for the second post.  All for now. Sue x

  6. Hi Sue, another die that was added to my list when our pre-launch e-mail filtered through its really pretty and will add that final touch to our festive cards, tags or any project but I was thinking that a very careful snip to remove the holly leaves maybe one of your teensy weensy flowers from some of your floral collections could take the place of the holly giving us a gorgeous swirl with the odd sugared pretty little flower. I've just used the tiny flower (from the tree die which has the bird box, tiny birds and rope swing) I've added the flower to the tree in lots of the branches, and it looks so pretty like apple blossoms, it took a lot of cuts but so worth it, so we could do the same with this die, making it another all year round die. Really looking forward to the rest of the launch but such a shame its our last day of four posts. Whatever your plans for the day hope it's a lovely one xxx

  13. I love the holly spray, so delicate & Christmassy. I love your finishing touches & they really do give the card a nice finish. You usually save the best ‘til last & they are usually flowers but we have had the poinsettias so I’m at a loss to think what it will be! I wait with baited breath! Roll on midday. Thank you Sue.

Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes.
Well now,we are almost at the end of the ride and I wonder how many of us have not been able to pick out a favourite. This morning's present is absolutely gorgeous and also interesting when looking at the possibilities. I adore the vellum flowers too and making flowers is not my forte because of my low vision but I'm tempted to try again,
I hope that everyone has a great day.

What a stunning card this morning and the Holly Sprays die set is beautiful . I love how you are able to create corners or just snip into the die cuts to go with flowers. The extra details of being able to die cut the berries ( the berries would work as snow falling or snow balls to go with your snowman)

The Holly Sprays are beautifully elegant and you’ve thought of everything, giving the berries separately and linking the two sprays to give a lovely border or frame. The launch seems to have gone so quickly but instead of feeling sad that this is the last day, I’m going to be excited to see all your lovely Christmas cards appearing on the blog every week, will it still be on a Friday?
