Happy Birthday

Hi crafters!  I have used the Alice Triple Layering die here to create an offset ombre background.  I cut the top layer of the Alice die in white, Arctic Blue, Sky Blue and Bluebell.  I cut a piece of white card and added a sticky adhesive sheet to it.  I peeled the backing paper off then laid down my Alice dies in the colour listed, slightly offsetting each one.  For the remaining exposed areas of adhesive, I added Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz for a bit of bling.  Next I used the Spiral Pearl Flowers and layered them up with white on top, powder pink in the middle and Old Rose as the base colour.  I formed the petals to give a bit of dimension and seated them in the corner with white leaves as accents around them.  I cut a couple of Splendid Swirls in white and added them to embellish the florals.  I cut the Happy Birthday Shadowed sentiment in Powder Pink card and added it to a white shadow then glued it in the upper portion of the card.  The card was completed with white, old rose and Arctic blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  6 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Hi Sue. Alice certainly has many strings to her bow, you've given us another beautiful start to our week. I've seen Alice used so differently on our/your fb group and some gorgeous cards have been made and I can only imagine that those recipients of the cards have been thrilled and amazed. A bright pretty sample for a bright sunny Monday. Hope your day is equally bright and sunny xxx

Morning Sue, what a stunning card. I do like the way in which you have off set Alice and those shades of blue are lovely. I promised myself that I wouldn't buy anymore card until I'd used up most of my card stash, but your latest colours including the rose pinks etc are so pretty, so I might just have to break it.
Have a good week. Hugs xx Pauline

  18. A beautiful card and die too. I now have Alice in my paws but have only used her once so far. I need to try doing this method now. I liked her because I thought she would make a very plain background or a very fancy one therefore making for lots of use.
