Hello crafters! I am kind of in love with this colour combo of Old Rose, Powder Pink, Taupe and Milk card! I started this card by cutting the Basketweave die out of milk card. I backed it with taupe card, then added a multi layered frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles. I made an Taupe base frame and added a thin Old Rose frame on top. Next I cut the Jocelyn die out of taupe card and added a milk card backing to it then added it to the centre of the frame. I cut the Many Thanks Shadowed sentiment out of Old Rose and added it to a milk card base then glued it to the centre of the Jocelyn die. I made three Fuchsias out of Old Rose, Powder Pink and Milk card with varying shades of green for the leaves. I glued them under the edge of the top of the frame, over hanging on to the Jocelyn die a bit. I made a Hummingbird for the lower corner out of the same colours of Taupe, Powder Pink and Old Rose but in a different order. The card was completed with milk, powder pink and old rose. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, today's gorgeous inspirational sample is worthy of glass fronted box frame and placed on a wall for all to love and admire. The colours and design are so beautiful together, so much so both Old Rose and Powder Pink are completely out of stock at CE Towers so I'm having to be really patient till it's back in stock and my craft shop can re-stock, must be the Sue Wilson effect lol so I hope your day is a happy and productive day and that 'our Sam' is not missing due to I'll health ?
ReplyDeleteThanks for a beautiful start to the day again xxx
Hi Sue, Beautiful card. I also love the colours you have used. The design of the card is lovely and the dies look amazing.

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteLove this!
Of course any card made using any of your Triple Layered dies is going to be a sure thing in my opinion. The Fuchsias and Hummingbird are beautiful. I absolutely love the old rose and powder pink colours. It is such a beautiful combination. The Basketweave die is a die of many talents. Perfect for any backdrop and with any other die.
Happy Wednesday everyone

ReplyDeleteHi Sue, I had a quick look at the card this morning on my tablet and I'm sorry to say it did not appeal. However, looking at it now on the PC I can see that I was wrong and I do like it although I do still think that the Fuchsias look a little heavy, sorry.
