For You

Hi crafters!  It almost looks like a white on white card at first glance, but it is actually milk card and powder pink.  I started by cutting the Celtic Square Background out of milk card.  I added a sticky adhesive sheet behind it and glittered the background with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I used the Double Stitched Squares and made a multi layered frame with a milk card base and a thinner frame out of powder pink on top.  Next I cut the Claire die out of milk card.  I backed it with milk card then cut a thin frame out of powder pink and glued it to the edge of the die.  I added it in the centre of the card and then cut the centre of the Eliza die out of milk card.  I used the For You shadowed sentiment cut out of milk card with a pink shadow backing.  I completed the card with milk and powder pink mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Oh wow Sue, this is absolutely adorable. A true Sue Wilson creation. I don't think I've seen you use powder pink cardstock until now so I'm thinking it's another new addition and it looks so subtle and delicate, I need and want to add this to my list of the new colours you've been using over the past few months. This sample is just one of hundreds that I'd love to see in real life to see the depth of its beauty, absolutely gorgeous Sue. Thanks you for starting my day with a smile again, hope yours starts in the same way xxx

  17. Morning Sue, even if you had made this as a white on white card, it would be just as stunning. I do like your 'new'pastel colours but I have so many 'needs' e.g. the Celtic background, that more card will have to wait, I'm afraid. But, I can make lots of white on white, ones. Hugs xx Pauline

  19. Hi Sue
Oh wow what a gorgeous card. That powder pink card really needs to come to my house. It appears slightly darker than the old faithful blush card that we all miss. Claire looks fabulous and makes a stunning centrepiece.
Trish - strength slowly returning, thank you x

  23. Hello Sue,

I love the softness and the delicacy of this card. It has just enough color to peak your interest without taking away from the gentleness of it. The powder pink card is really lovely but the blush card was my favorite. The Claire die is one of my all time favorites. She is perfect no matter how she is used.

    Have a great day.

  60. Hi Sue. Oooooh this card is beautiful !!! These dies are at the top of my wish list at the moment, The Celtic Squares background die and the beautiful Claire die. I really love them both. I know you have used the powder pink on your card with the coconut white card but it looks very white on my screen. It is difficult to see the pink. I love white on white cards but I have never been brave enough to make one, as I always end up adding some colour to it !!! Such beautiful, beautiful dies though Sue and it looks even more elegant with the added glitter to. Thank you for sharing this beautiful card. Lots of love to you Sue from Tres X X X
