You Are My Sunshine

Hi crafters!  This frame is one of my favourite themed frame dies and I just loved the way it turned out when I finished this one!  I started by cutting the Gardening Frame in tan card.  I selected all the colours that I wanted to use for the different bits and cut the frame in each of those colours as well.  I used antique silver, powder pink, Old Rose card, and two shades of green and a terra cotta colour card all from my stash.  I nipped away each of the items and glued them over the tan original, leaving only the handle on the gardening shovel and the flower trellis in the original colour.  I inked the flowers a bit with Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink and touched the birds wing with Broken China.  I added the entire frame onto a white shadow mat and cut the sentiment in old rose and glued in the middle.  I selected some striped paper from my stash to use as a backing and added a multi layered frame cut from the Double Stitched Rectangles and white and Powder Pink card.  The card was completed with white and powder pink mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

You probably gathered that this die is at the top of my list and I know it will be loved and appreciate not only by me but for those that need a card for family or friends that have green fingers and spend their summer time nurturing their garden. Such beautiful inspiration Sue, I defy anyone not to smile when this loads onto their screen today. Thank you for sharing this massive smile with us xxx

  7. Hi Sue
Wow what an amazing card. I can imagine it taking quite a bit of time all that die cutting and snipping but so worth it. The result is magnificent. My time in the garden is not spent gardening but I know so many people who actually enjoy getting their fingers dirty - perfect card for any of them.
    Happy Friday everyone

  12. Good Morning all. A great card today, though I am not sure I would have the patience for all the little pieced in this, I truly admire both the card and you Sue for having that patience. Who wouldn't like to receive something that so much love had gone into making it.

  47. Hi Sue. WOW !!! I do love this gorgeous card !!! It is this particular card that convinced me to put your gorgeous new Gardening Frame die set on my wish list. I have not got it yet but I will at some point, hopefully. I love your frames and necessities dies. I have recently made a card with your fab Celebrations die frame, another card using your nessesities sewing die set and a third using your shirt nessesities die set. I have had great fun making them and thanks to your fabulous dies I think they look quite professional. I know several people who would love a gardening card including my uncle who loves to come and help out my mum and dad with their garden. I love all the cute little elements included in your gardening frame. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous card today Sue.
