Good Sunday morning all! I do admit that I have a lot of mermaid cards to share in the coming weeks and months, I hope you won't mind! I started today's card by cutting the centre die from the
Ariel set randomly into a piece of coconut white card. I backed it with a piece of
seafoam card. Next I used the
Double Stitched Squares and made a multi layered frame to go over the background, with a wider white base and a thin seafoam frame on top. I cut the seated mermaid from the
Mermaid Kisses set twice, once in milk card and once in ocean card. I inked her hair with Tea Dye ink and added some antique linen to her face and shoulders. I used a clear perfect medium over the Ocean card mermaid die cut then embossed it with clear embossing powder twice so it was thick and shiny. I nipped away the body and added it to the other one cut in milk card, then seated her on the side of the frame. I cut several of the different sea grass dies from the
Can't Wait to Sea You set and added then inside the bottom of the frame. I cut three sea turtles out of tan card and added some
forest green and vintage photo ink to their heads and flippers and glued them into the frame. I cut the sentiment in teal card and glued it above the turtles inside the frame and added a few seashells. The card was completed with white and seafoam mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 7" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, I do love your imagination and it's with these themed cards you allow us a tiny peek inside your childhood, what a beautiful collection of childhood dreams,stories and favourite films, those turtles are just adorable and I'm amazed that we don't have just one Manatee to join the underwater party. Such a pretty feel good sample to wake up to before I get ready for market (hoping a few Mother's Day cards sell today using my rose gift)
