Rose Flower Square

Good Sunday morning all!  I have done the Rose Flower Square as a proper stained glass styled card for today's offering.  I cut the Rose Flower Square out of black card and glued it to a piece of acetate.  From the reverse side, I filled it the rose with glue then covered it with Lava red polished silk glitter.  The leaves were done with green glitter and the background was the last area to be filled in with Sparkle Star glitter.  I set it aside to dry overnight.  I added a white backing to it once dry, then glued it to the centre of a piece of sky blue card.  I made two thin frames for it using the Double Stitched Squares and added them around the flower with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white, sky blue and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  4. Morning Sue. Absolutely gorgeous. Stained glass, pixie powder background and all sorts made for this die, the biggest thing that made me smile is that I CAN paper piece with such ease with these dies, the 3 teensy weensey middle pieces are a struggle for me but I get there eventually lol. I'm looking forward to completing the full collection as they are so gorgeous, and quick to make batch cards of all sizes. I hope your Sunday is a lovely Sunday xxx

  11. Hi Sue
Absolutely gorgeous. The rose looks stunning with the blue background. Really makes it pop.
The Flower Square dies are all lovely as well as being so versatile. Small cards - no problem, CAS cards - no problem and even large and much more elaborate cards - no problem at all. Whatever you throw at them ( glitter, crystal tints, pixie powders to name but a few), they will not let you down!
    Happy Sunday everyone

  15. Good Morning Sue. Lovely sample today Sue. Although I have to say I am not a fan of the stained glass technique.... you have made this look absolutely gorgeous. The colours are beautiful. And by leaving it free from any wording gives us choices to use any one of your new sentiment dies. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

    Good morning Sue,
A gorgeous card Sue and I love your assortment of colours, I'm sure that cards like these can be made in different sizes and be great for those who make cards to sell.
It may be a while before my next comment as tomorrow I have my hip replacement.
    Love to all.

    Hi Sue,
Fabulous card, and the red goes just right with the blue and white. You know me, I would have used black, thereby not going out of my comfort zone. I shall consider this colour combo in future......

  24. Hi Sue. Lovely card today. I have always loved the effect that you get by using glitter on the reverse of acetate. The nice thing is that you get all the sparkle without the glitter shedding everywhere and the only downside is that you have to wait a while for it to dry. All good things come to those who wait I suppose.

Beautiful stain glass rose done in glitters. You stayed in your lines perfectly with your glitter. My first attempt was not that good. Loving your high low frames drawing the eye to the flocal element, the lovely rose. Thanks for sharing.
