Just Because

Hello there my crafty friends!  I have been playing with some gilding polish for today's card.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and used the Layered Carnation stamp on the background.  I inked up the stamp with Pink Blossom Gilding Polish and stamped it randomly across the background.  Each flower had to be stamped twice to form a complete flower shape.  Next I cut the decorative die from the Claire die into the sides of the background.  I backed it with a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet added and then glittered the exposed adhesive with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  Next I coated a piece of card with Pink Blossom polish and allowed it to dry.  I cut the Claire outer edge out of it as well as a backing for the die.  I cut the Claire out of white card and used the pink backing then mounting it in the centre of the card.  I cut the Just Because sentiment out of the polished card too and glued it into place in the middle of the die.  I made three carnations and edged the tips of the petals with the polish as well.  I seated them around the focal element and added a white ribbon bow as well as leaves as accents.  White on white mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  7. Oh my word Sue this is just gorgeous. I'm really going to sound like a proper knowledgeable crafter when I'm really not lol but after watching Julia Lisa and Phill, and looking into the very heart of this sample with all the guilding polishes and waxes etc there is no reason why we can't have flowers or sentiments to work in with our whole design from background to finishing touches all the mediums are there for us, all we need to arrange now is a Particraft lotto syndicate to achieve a massive quadruple roll over to share out or a worldwide bank heist then we won't have to worry about picking just two shades we can have the bloomin lot 😆 so I've just woken from a ridiculous dream to send you hugs for a lovely day ahead and to thank you for this beautiful inspiration xxx

  25. Hi Sue
Oh my word this is so pretty - that colour is lovely. Claire really is adorable. I don’t have her in my gang but am wondering if this card could be adapted by using any of your other girls??!! It looks like a beautiful shade of peach. Is Pink Blossom Guilding Polish a peach colour? I know sometimes the screen can play tricks on us!
I have a few gilding polishes but will admit to never having used them to stamp any images with. Another activity to add to my to do/to attempt list (a rather long list).
I had lots of good intentions of playing with my Pixie Powders and even making at least one card yesterday but I have come down with some sort of flue-like bug. Hot water bottle is working overtime.
    Happy Wednesday everyone
